I'm considering a quick change tool holder assembly for the little South Bend 9 inch. Other than sticker shock what are the pro cons. Outwardly they seem a bit bulky considering the size of this little lathe.

Or should I just stick with the lantern holder. Dustin D Ehli Subscriber. We just put a series holder on our 16 south bend. We got it on Amazon import for about bucks. Seems like good quality and will make future tool changes and options easier, also seems very rigid.

I think the quick change systems are also more rigid which is a good thing for smaller lathes. I would recommend one and keep the lantern for where it may be useful.
